France: the naturalization fee is now EUR 255, up from EUR 55

Since 1 May 2026, the fiscal stamp (timbre fiscal) for a French nationality application costs EUR 255 (EUR 127.50 in Guyane). It was EUR 55.

It applies to naturalization, reinstatement (réintégration) and nationality declarations, for example by marriage.

What to tell clients

• Budget EUR 255 for the stamp, not EUR 55.
• The stamp is bought online or at a tax office. The official page explains how.
